UPAYA MENINGKATKAN PROFESIONALISME GURU PENDIDIKAN AGAMA ISLAM MELALUI PROGRAM PEREKRUTAN GURU TETAP

Abstract


Teacher professionalism is an attitude of a teacher who works skillfully, agile and tenacious in communicating with students, especially during teaching and learning activities. This study uses the type of autobiographical narrative inquiry research by describing personal experiences in observing the Al Husna Klaten Foundation's efforts to improve teacher professionalism by recruiting permanent teachers from the Foundation. It is hoped that the foundation's permanent teacher program will increase the professionalism of a teacher. The results of the study show that the Al-Husna Klaten Foundation recruits permanent teachers very selectively. Prospective teachers must have five years of teaching experience and have superior knowledge of Islam both informally and formally. The recruitment process is quite long, but in this way, teachers who have been assigned to become teachers are still able to adapt quickly and can carry out the vision and mission of the school optimally.
